We've hopefully all seen the maps and are prepared as best as possible by now. At this point the final numbers do not matter, it is beyond what is manageable. This will be a heavy, wet snow coupled with high winds.
Be prepared to be stuck in your homes for 24-48 hours starting tonight. We are not meteorologists, but based on the information we had we have to be prepared for a significant event.
There may be addresses that we cannot immediately get to in the event of an emergency.
A few items to think about tp keep yourself safe.
- portable generators need space and air. Keep them away from the house and keep them clear to avoid carbon monoxide problems.
- check on exhaust vents for your hot water heater and furnace/boiler if they are at ground level to make sure the stay clear and can vent properly.
- please consider using battery operated lights instead of of candles. Heating your house with petroleum products (kerosene, propane) is also a big safety issue.
If you have a problem and need guidance call a plumber, electrician, or other professional to help you through a problem. Call us if you have any safety concerns.
