Proudly Serving Since 1927

Since 1927, when the citizens of two historic village sections of Wall Township, known as Lake Como (north of Warren Avenue) and Villa Park (south of Warren Avenue) passed a Public Referendum to secede from Wall Township and incorporate as a Borough, known as Spring Lake Heights, the Spring Lake Heights Police Department has proudly served and protected the residents an

d community of Spring Lake Heights. Officers in the Department are engaged in an effort to honor the more than 80 years of service to the community. We look to create a historical account of the development and progress of the Department.

Today, the Spring Lake Heights Police Department proudly recognizes and celebrates Sgt. Christopher Bennett as he retires from a distinguished career in law enforcement.

Throughout his years of dedicated service, Sgt. Bennett has demonstrated unwavering commitment, professionalism, and leadership in serving and protecting the residents of Spring Lake Heights. His dedication to public safety, mentorship of fellow officers, and devotion to the community have left a lasting impact on our department and the countless lives he has touched.

Sgt. Bennett’s career is a testament to integrity, hard work, and selfless service. While his presence will be greatly missed, his legacy will continue to inspire those who have had the privilege of serving alongside him.

On behalf of the members of the Spring Lake Heights Police Department and the community we serve, we extend our sincere gratitude for your years of service and wish you a retirement filled with happiness, good health, and new adventures.

Congratulations to the 5th graders of on graduating from the L.E.A.D. program with Ptl. Levy! Following the graduation, the students celebrated with a kickball game alongside our officers. Everyone had a great time, and we’re grateful for the positive relationships being built with our students through community policing. Thank you to all who made this program such a success!

This morning, Chief Gunnell, Ptl. Vadas, and Ptl. Defeo departed from Jackson NJ, starting their 3 day journey to Washington, D.C. as part of the Police Unity Tour.

The 300-mile bike ride honors fallen law enforcement officers and raises awareness for those who have died in the line of duty.
