Spring Safety Alert: New Speed Limit on Ocean Avenue in Effect!
As the warmer weather brings more life to our streets, we want to ensure Spring Lake remains a safe place for everyone to walk, bike, and drive. Please take note of these important traffic updates as you navigate through town:
🛑 Know Your Limits
• Ocean Avenue: The speed limit is now 25 mph. Keep it slow and enjoy the view!
• Third Avenue: To protect our downtown shoppers and pedestrians, the speed limit is 15 mph.
• Town-Wide: Please stay alert and adhere to the 25 mph speed limit throughout the rest of the Borough.
Stay Vigilant
• Full Stops are Mandatory: With more residents and visitors out on foot, coming to a complete stop at every stop sign is essential for everyone’s safety.
• Share the Road: Warmer weather means more cyclists, runners, and families with strollers. Give them plenty of space and always stop for pedestrians in crosswalks.
• Avoid Distractions: Keep your eyes on the road and your hands off the phone. A split second makes all the difference.
Whether you are a resident or just visiting for the day, let’s look out for one another. 🛑🚶‍♂️🚲
