Recap of Nurses Week… so far! 💙
This year’s theme is The Power of Nurses, and as we all know, Nurses need to get power from many different sources! First up: The Power of Food! A huge THANK YOU to CareOne at Wall for kicking off the week with a “power breakfast.” The waffles were so good and the whole building smelled like syrup all day! Day 2: The Power of Relaxation! Serenity Hospice helped our nurses recharge with relaxing massages, while Imperial Healthcare Rehabilitation & Nursing Center treated everyone to beach-themed goodie bags. (The nurses absolutely can’t wait to relax on the beach this summer with all their new goodies!) THANK YOU BOTH!! And today? The Power of Comfort! Ocean Healthcare delivered super-cozy socks, perfect for powering through the halls all day or staying comfy on a well-earned day off. And after running around...nothing better than the pretzel bites dropped off by Alvita Care! THANK YOU OHC and Alvita! Safe to say our nurses are feeling very powered up (and loved) this week… and we’re not done yet! WE appreciate everyone who has recognized these wonderful ladies whose TLC is their ULTIMATE POWER!!

Yesterday kicked off Nurse's Week but before we start posting all the wonderfulness that is happening for our wonderful Nurse's, WE want to give a much and well-deserved shout-out to our ABSOLUTELY, aWEsome Housekeeping Department and Infection Prevention Specialist. Why are WE celebrating them, you ask? The respiratory season is six-months long and during the recent 2025-2026 season, Wellington did not have a single case of flu, Covid, or any other respiratory illness. Some would say that is unheard of, but it's not when you have the BEST OF THE BEST working for you. P.S. They requested wings; if you ever want a delicious wing, we highly recommend WingStop in Neptune...they were sooo good!!!

A HUGE THANKS to Yulady, our former activity aide and now Memory Care Director at Willow Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Brick. When Yulady was employed with us the residents LOVED, LOVED, LOVED her impromptu dance parties. So she came back and had a good ole hootenanny with them. She summed the day up best by saying, "There is nothing better than doing the macarena with a 103-year-old!"

We had a bit fun with our residents for April Fools Day 😬😀😂! They thought they were getting beautifully frosted cupcakes, but when they bit in, they were surprised by mashed potato frosted meatloaf. Deanna’s face after her first bite says it all. High five to chef Jose - this joke was “well done,” just like his cupcakes 😎!
