The Spring Lake Fire Department was reorganized in 2023, merging two successful, independent fire companies into one thriving entity. The membership is comprised 100% of volunteers who respond to emergencies within Spring Lake and beyond. There are endless ways to contact us, but feel free to stop by the firehouse Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm.

In the evening hours of 7/3/26, members turned out for fire showing from a taxpayer building in our business district. Units arrived to find three floors of fire. Both engines, the ladder tower, Chief and Deputy Chief were on scene. A second alarm was transmitted, bringing in mutual aid companies to the incident. Due to high temperatures and extensive overhaul, a third alarm was struck bringing additional manpower to the scene. The fire was held to the building of origin. The Department operated on scene for approximately four hours. The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation by the Spring Lake Police Department and Monmouth County Fire Marshals Office.

Spring Lake Engine 76 was second due into Belmar this morning for a residential structure fire. Members secured their own water supply and assisted in overhaul, operating for approximately 45 minutes before returning to service.

A small fire was contained to the exterior of a home on the 300 block of Atlantic Avenue yesterday afternoon. Spring Lake firefighters dumped the house with all apparatus on scene within 6 minutes. Units operated for approximately 40 minutes. Spring Lake Heights FD responded as automatic aid for the report of fire. The scene was turned over to the local Fire Marshals Office.
