Unfortunately, tomorrow’s parade at the Centre County Grange Fair has been canceled due to impending weather.
However, you can come meet members of Penns Valley Grange and learn some more about us at the organization fair on Friday morning!

We are not able to reschedule the parade.

However, we have invited any business or organization that was scheduled to be in the parade and who would like to participate, to set up a table at the Grandstand on Friday 8/28 from 10 AM to 12 Noon.

We want to congratulate Shelly Weaver, one of our Grange's members on the Grange Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair Committee for being named "Fair Person of the Year" at last night's opening ceremonies.
Shelly is the Chairperson of the equine activities, putting in countless hours to coordinate shows, maintenance, and more for the largest equine facility east of the Mississippi!

Penns Valley Grange #158 served dinner to those attending State Grange Family Festival on Thursday night.
Thanks to all the Grange members that helped cook and serve. Thanks to all the cookie and brownie bakers.
Edit: thanks to Thrivent for helping to fund this meal.
Proceeds will be split between the Diaper Depot in Centre Hall and the Gregg Township Fire Department.

Last night, Penns Valley Grange #158 welcomed members from the Keystone American Legion Post 444 (Millheim) to hold a Flag Retirement Ceremony. With more than a dozen flags ready for retirement, it was a moving tribute to our country.
The first flag used in the retirement ceremony was a tattered 48-star flag that was found in our former Grange Hall when it was cleaned out to be sold.

Thank you to the Legion members who performed the ceremony, our members who brought flags to be retired, two of our Juniors (and their mom) who prepared many of the of the flags by properly folding them, and our community for their support.

If you have a flag ready to be retired, you can drop them off in a blue post box at the Millheim Legion.

Join us this Wednesday, July 8, at 6:30pm, for our summer picnic and American Flag Retirement Ceremony.
We will be joined by members from the Keystone American Legion Post 444, who will lead the ceremony. All are invited to bring any American Flag that is ready for retirement.

For the picnic, please bring place settings and a dish to share.

We will also be judging the Family Activity contests for State Grange, and this month's collection item is liquid hand soap for the Centre Hall/Penns Valley Food Pantry.

We will meet on Wednesday, July 8 at the St. John's Pavilion - 296 Ridge Road - for our summer picnic! Please bring a dish to share.

We will be joined by Keystone American Legion Post 444, who will lead a Flag Retirement Ceremony, starting around 7:00pm.

Please bring any American flags that are ready to be retired. The whole community is welcome to join us!
