RULES REFORM IN PENNSYLVANIA LEGISLATURE

Do you wonder why it takes so long to get bills approved through the House and Senate of Pennsylvania? Are you interested in knowing more about how the legislative process works in Harrisburg? Whatever your favorite issue is, it's important to understand how the system currently functions (and dysfunctions) in PA. Best practices have been identified in other states, but Pennsylvania uses none of these procedures. PA is tied for zero in the rankings.

I'm inviting you to a special Town Hall held via Zoom on December 15 at 4:00 p.m. RSVP here https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83993051121?pwd= WkdHKzUyblhPeXhzS0xTTUsxRXINQT09 to receive the Zoom login that morning. The discussion, led by the non-partisan Fair Districts PA, is relevant to all advocates who are working to inform our representatives of public needs.

Regardless of your political affiliation, this is important to know and to help change. A new legislative session begins January 5. The rules are the first piece of legislation that is passed. First, understand the system, then contact your legislators to request reforming the rules now, before the new session begins.

Incorporated in 1826 and formed out of portions of Potter, Miles, and Haines townships, Gregg Township, Pennsylvania is located in the Penns Valley region of Centre County. From hiking and scenic views in the mountains to diverse farmlands in the valleys to water recreation and fishing along the interweaving streams and marshes, residents and visitors alike can enjoy a plethora of activities. Stop by the Old Gregg School Community & Recreation Center (also the municipal building), grab some lunch at one of the restaurants, or visit the many other small businesses located in the township.

A big "THANK YOU" to the township road crew who rolled the infield and mowed the outfield at the ball field today!!!
Stay safe out there everyone. Our road crew has been busy working to keep our roads open. I thank them for their tireless hours of hard work.
Is the Secretary email now working? I also tried to send a Facebook message but the message immediately redirected me to email or call the office. Do you not check or use your page messages? Thanks.

In last evenings meeting Kerri mentioned that the new secretary is a notary and the supervisors would discuss whether to have her provide her services as part of her position. Finding a notary isn’t as easy as it sounds. So having one in the township office would be a perfect idea. I would like to say, I think that would be a great asset to the community and money well spent.
