A progress update and historical trivia.

Leveling and repairing of cracks in hallway floors has been completed, and hallways are ready for new flooring to begin being installed next week. Lighting upgrades are well underway in the elementary and music hallways. Painting continued in the cafe, with the ceiling painting complete. In the gym, bleachers and basketball hoops were removed, and the room prepped for work to begin next week. Painting will occur first before new practice hoops and bleachers are installed, as well as a drop-down dividing curtain to allow the gym to be used as two separate spaces during the school day. Outside, roofing is complete on the maintenance garage and bus garage, and roofing is about 25% complete on the bus shed.

And your Kingsland/Spring Valley history trivia... Removal of the bleachers and basketball hoops in the gym revealed blue walls. Who remembers when the gym was blue?

🦷Free Dental Clinic!🦷

We are excited to offer a Free Dental Clinic for students at our school. This clinic provides an opportunity for students to receive basic dental screenings, preventative care, and oral health education at no cost to families!

🦷First Exam: Tuesday August 18th
✅6 month Check-Up: Thursday February 18th
🏫Location: Kingsland School (we will send out more information for which room when closer to the event)

☀️We hope everyone is having an amazing start to their summer!

Our end to the school year was very busy this year. Lots of field trips, school events, and even saying goodbye to some our staff..

The last day of school we started a new tradition, Teacher Inflatable Races! Can you guess who's in the costumes? 🦖🐓🦄

We also wanted to film one last goodbye and wish everyone a great summer! 👋🏻😎

Crews wasted no time getting started on our school facilities maintenance and improvement projects on this first official day of summer break. Hallways are being prepped for new flooring; the cafeteria is all ready to begin painting and floor resurfacing; roofing is well underway on exterior buildings; and rooftop unit replacement has begun.

On Tuesday evening, class of 2026 graduates gathered with family, friends, and community members to celebrate scholarship night. These Kingsland students received scholarships from local organizations and businesses totaling $124,650. A huge thank you to everyone who was part of this evening. Our Kingsland community is truly the best!

🎓✨Congratulations to our Seniors of 2026! Friday our Seniors walked the halls the last time. Our younger students lined the halls giving hugs, high fives, waves, and cheers!

We are so proud of each and everyone of you and we can't wait to see where life takes you on your next adventures!

Our sophomore class and their teacher Mr. Kemper once again put together a fantastic “Decades Day” event this year. This massive project starts at the end of students’ ninth grade year, but all of the research, planning, and building goes on throughout 10th grade. Great work, everyone, and a huge, thank you to all of the community members who support our students!
