🚨 Community Safety Reminder 🚨

The City has received multiple reports of children riding electric scooters in an unsafe manner throughout town.

We would like to remind all riders and parents of the importance of following basic safety practices, including:

🛴 Wearing a properly fitted helmet and other appropriate safety gear.
🛑 Coming to a complete stop at intersections and obeying all traffic signs.
👀 Staying alert and watching for vehicles, pedestrians, and other hazards.
🚸 Riding responsibly and courteously in public areas.

Electric scooters can be a fun and convenient way to get around, but safety must always come first. We encourage parents and guardians to review safe riding practices with their children to help prevent accidents and injuries.

The contractor has finished removals at Jefferson and Broadway, and will continue with sidewalk removals at Courtland and Broadway tomorrow morning. To access the North Block, from Jefferson to Courtland, please use the temporary sidewalk mats installed at Jefferson.
