Heaven's Windows Heaven's Windows is a Community Food Hub that strives to provide assistance for the mutual benefit of our community.

We aid struggling families, seniors, homeless individuals, with free groceries, and children with meals when schools are out. Purpose

• Works in partnership and collaboration with agencies and organizations that provide emergency and basic assistance to our residents in need.
• Provide assistance using resources with; free food distribution, child nutrition programs, job training and referrals,

educational opportunities, community service and mentoring, housing referral, and promotion of free community events.
• Serving; homeless single men and women, families, children, youth, seniors, students, immigrants, and refugees in San Diego County.

In 2014, Heaven’s Windows launched our Child Nutrition Program with the dedicated service of four remarkable women: Freddy Horton, Juanita Ramirez, Olivia Jones, and Annie Carmichael. We are deeply saddened to share that Olivia Jones, pictured in the middle, has passed on to her heavenly rest. For many years, Olivia also worked tirelessly in our Food Distribution Program. We loved and appreciated her servant’s heart, and she will be greatly missed. Each of these women has been a treasured part of Heaven’s Windows, faithfully sharing her love of God through service to others. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Nearly 200 older adults will start receiving a $500 a month in rental assistance next year through the County’s third round of the Shallow Rental Subsidy Program.
The County is now accepting applications and will continue until 195 qualified households are accepted. Monthly payments to landlords are expected to begin in early 2027. Link in comments below.
