If your child is participating in the summer reading program and chooses to track their reading, they may turn in these reading logs for chances to win weekly prizes. Each log represents 3 hours of reading and one entry into the drawing. Readers can turn in as many slips each week as they complete by reading. The more slips, the more chances to win. Each reader will only earn one prize a week and all entries will be saved for the grand prize drawing at the end of the reading program - July 31. Slips are available at the library or you can download this image (which contains two slips) and print yourself.

We had a great first day of our summer program and reconnected with some of our most faithful readers! Don't miss out on a second of the fun we will be having this summer. Our weekly activities include an "I Spy" cabinet, photo find, guessing jar, activity sheets and don't forget the favorite "Golden Book!" Pick up a reading log and track your time to earn chances to win prizes in our weekly drawings. We can't wait to see you at the library this summer.

Our Spring Valley Public Library is one of the collection locations for the USA 250 Community Service Challenge being held by the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. Their challenge is to collect 250 cans of soup by July 4! Please bring a can of soup to add to the box located in our lobby! Let's help the Auxiliaries reach their goal in celebration of the 250th Birthday of the USA!
