Arrow Child & Family Ministries Our services and programs impact over 4,000 children, teens and families each year! Together, we’re helping children thrive.

We serve children who have experienced abuse, trauma, or instability through foster care and community-based services. We recruit and train foster families to provide safe, loving homes, while also working to improve the health and stability of families in their own communities. Our Arrow Health Solutions simplifies access to medical equipment and services, and our Arrow Center for Education Schools in Maryland provides specialized education for children needing alternatives to traditional schools.

This past weekend, Arrow Child & Family Ministries was proud to sponsor and participate in the 2026 Baltimore Autism Speaks Empower Walk + 5K Run in Towson, Maryland!

Our team came together with families, advocates, and community members to celebrate inclusion, raise awareness, and show support for individuals with autism.

Events like these remind us why community matters. Every step helps create a world where individuals with autism feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. 💙

Things heated up at The Arrow Center for Education Tangram when Principal Dave invited Jen Renault, Senior Vice President of Maryland Programs, to take on a spicy wing challenge during a recent staff meeting! 🌶️🔥
As the wings got hotter, so did the conversation!

Dave asked Jen questions about her career, her journey with Arrow, and the goals driving our Maryland programs forward. We believe setting goals is only the beginning. It's about making sure every team member understands those goals, feels connected to our mission, and recognizes the role they play in achieving them. Through Maryland's internal "Count Me In" campaign, we're encouraging our teams to take ownership, stay accountable and work together toward a shared vision of helping kids and strengthening families.

This challenge was about more than surviving spicy wings. It was an afternoon of laughter, connection, and meaningful conversations that brought our goals and purpose to life. Because when everyone understands the WHY behind our work and commits to doing their part, we can make an even greater impact on the children and families we serve.

What if play could be the first step toward healing? 💙

We recently welcomed our community into Arrow's new Therapeutic Services Play Therapy Room for a special open house, giving guests a firsthand look at how play can help children express emotions, build confidence, and develop important life skills. From exploring the new space to connecting with our team, it was a wonderful opportunity to share the heart behind what we do.

For 30 years, Arrow Child & Family Ministries has been helping kids and strengthening families across Maryland. But a legacy like this isn't built alone. It's built through the dedication, generosity, and shared commitment of people and organizations who believe every child and family deserves hope and opportunity.

As we celebrated this incredible milestone, we were reminded of just how much stronger our mission becomes when we work together.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners and supporters, including Mid-Atlantic Properties, Inc. Ryleigh's Oyster Hunt Valley, our National Board members Kevin, Chris, and Diana, Maryland Advisory Council members Alonso and Jodi, Scott from MacKenzie Contracting and Laura and Rick Figueroa. We also extend a special thank you to Amy from Harford County for presenting a proclamation in recognition of this milestone.

What happens when young people are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones?

Recently, three of our youth had the opportunity to attend the College and Career Fair at Harford Community College, where they explored educational opportunities, connected with college representatives and learned more about potential career paths that aligned with their interests and passions.But for these three, the experience was about much more than exploring colleges!

Although they were nervous at first they embraced the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones. With encouragement and guidance, they practiced approaching vendors, engaging in meaningful conversations, receiving feedback, and building their networking skills. Each was encouraged to connect with at least two colleges, and what initially felt intimidating quickly became an opportunity to grow in confidence. That's exactly why experiences like these matter.

At Arrow's Crossroads Community, we're helping youth build the confidence, independence and life skills they need to navigate the world and prepare for what's next. We believe preparing youth for the future goes beyond talking about what's possible. It's about creating REAL opportunities for them to experience it firsthand, discover their potential and recognize what they're capable of achieving.📓✨

Pumpkins & Purpose brings together young professionals from all industries for a casual evening of conversation, community and a little fall fun.

Feeling mysterious? 🔎 Take part in The Great Pumpkin Heist, an optional interactive mystery you can play throughout the evening as you mingle, follow the clues and try to crack the case. Rather keep it casual? Grab a drink, meet some new people and enjoy the evening at your own pace.

Arrow was honored to be recognized at the Women's Giving Circle of Harford County alongside incredible nonprofits serving the Harford County community.

Through their generosity, the Women’s Giving Circle awarded funding for an interactive sand table at Arrow Center for Education Mountain Road, creating another way for our students to explore, communicate, connect with peers and support sensory self-regulation.

Our students continue to show us every day that there is so much more to them than what others may see as limitations. They communicate, learn, grow and experience the world in their own ways. Our role isn’t to change who they are, but to give them the tools and opportunities to show the world just how incredible they already are.

We are incredibly grateful to the Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County for seeing our students, believing in their potential and investing in an experience designed to help them thrive.Thank you for making a meaningful difference at Mountain Road! 💙
