Tropical depression number 5 is forecast to become tropical storm Edouard later this evening, it will make landfall around midday Tuesday on the upper Texas coast. ☔This will create a narrow band of heavy rain as the system is quite small, some areas will get 5 to 7 inches, while others nearby may get almost nothing. Know your flood threat! Visit the FEMA Flood Map Service online and enter in your address to check your area.

Winds are forecast to be minimal tropical storm strength. The power outage threat is not 0, but it's much lower than with Beryl 2 years ago. As always please keep an eye on your neighbors and make sure those with health considerations are prepared and monitored.
