🚑✨ Career Day at Covenant House Texas! ✨🚑

Today, Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare's medic Matthew Mendez and Public Information Officer Miranda Sevcik had the opportunity to visit for Career Day 🙌

Our team enjoyed connecting with the youth, sharing what it’s like to work in emergency medical services, and giving them an inside look at the many career opportunities available in EMS. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🚑

From EMTs and paramedics to dispatchers and support professionals, there are so many ways to build a rewarding career while serving your community and making a difference when people need you most. ❤️

A big thank you to Covenant House Texas, the only homeless facility in Texas for youth and their children ages 18-24, for inviting us and to everyone who asked great questions and showed an interest in the world of emergency medicine 👏

Who knows—we may have met some of our future EMS professionals today! 🚑💙

🎃👻 TRUNK OR TREAT IS BACK AT HARRIS COUNTY ESD 11! 👻🎃

Get ready for an evening of candy, community and first responder fun! 🚑🚒🍬

Join us tomorrow- Thursday, October 22, from 5–8 PM at the Harris County ESD 11 administrative campus at 18334 Stuebner Airline Rd. in Spring for our annual Trunk or Treat event! 🎃

Bring the whole family for:
🍭 LOTS of candy
🎨 Face painting
🎃 Pumpkin carving contest
🎮 Outdoor games
🔥 Grilled s’mores
🚑 Ambulance tours
🚒 Fire trucks & partner agency vehicles
🍔 Food truck fun

This year, we’re excited to welcome several of our first responder and community partners, including Harris County Public Health, GHC 911, HART, Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Fire Department, Community Volunteer Fire Department and Klein Fire Department! 🚓🚒🚑

Kids can learn about road safety and 9-1-1, while parents can get valuable information from our car seat safety team. It’s a night of Halloween fun with the people who help keep our community safe! ❤️🧡

We can’t wait to see all of our little ghouls and goblins! 👻🕷️🍬

🚑Recently Ulrich Intermediate school in Klein requested we send a truck and EMT to talk about emergency medicine with their students as part of their Bulldog Buddies Program. 🚑

ESD 11 EMT Matthew Melendez knocked it out of the park with a presentation so exceptional, the program organizer had this to say about him:

"Medic Matthew's presentation in the library was exceptionally well-organized. He covered the role of a paramedic and demonstrated the tools used during emergency calls. The students were captivated as they heard equipment sounds, had their heart rates and pulses checked, and asked thoughtful questions throughout. The highlight came when we moved outside to see and hear the ambulance's siren and lights. Medic Matthew went above and beyond by opening the ambulance, pulling out the stretcher, and allowing the students to investigate all the components firsthand. The curiosity and enthusiasm from our students was remarkable." 🩷

Thank you Matthew for doing such a great job inspiring and informing a whole new generation of potential EMT heroes! 🏆👏

❤️ A Congressional Recognition for Excellence in Emergency Care❤️
Today Congressman Representative Christian D. Menefee representing Texas's 18th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives honored Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare and Harris County ESD 17 - Little York Fire Department for their outstanding service and lifesaving care provided to Rosalind Ceasar after she suffered a heart attack at home.

🚑🚒 When seconds matter, highly trained EMS professionals and firefighters working together can make all the difference. The coordinated response, rapid treatment and dedication shown by these teams played a critical role in giving Rosalind the care she needed during a life-threatening emergency.

We are incredibly proud of ESD 11 In-Charge Paramedic Richard Gaines and Attendant Paramedic Juliana Hillman who answered the call and Little York Firefighters Captain Justin Simpson and Garrett Frazier for their professionalism, teamwork and commitment to serving our community.

👏Congratulations to everyone involved and thank you for answering the call when it mattered most!

🐴🚑 When public safety partners meet, great connections happen! 🤝

Two members of the Houston Police Department Mounted Patrol recently stopped by to visit a Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare ambulance at Willowbrook Hospital while on duty. 👮‍♂️🐎🚑

Our crews enjoyed the opportunity to connect, talk about what we do, and give equine officer Buddy and his friend a look at the world of Mobile Healthcare. ❤️

From the road to the saddle, Harris County’s public safety professionals are always working together to serve our community! 💙 Thank you to the Houston Police Mounted Patrol for stopping by! 👏

🎃Lucha Libre Attendant Paramedic Jorge Arevalo says ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare is just one week away from our annual 🎃Trunk or Treat🎃 event on our main campus at 18334 Stuebner Airline Road in Spring. Bring all your favorite ghosts 👻 and goblins 👺 in their best costumes from 5:00-8:00.
👍Enjoy touring 911🧑‍🚒 first response vehicles from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Klein Fire, ESD 11 and a special visitor- the famous bullet-proof Batmobile ambulance from Community Volunteer Fire Department. Young and old you really need to come out and see this! 🤩
We will also have a food truck, tons of candy, smore's, games, music, a pumpkin carving contest and of course our famous decorated trunks! Don't miss the fun or Lucha Libre Jorge will come after you! 😁

🧠❤️ Celebrating Stroke Survivors & the Teams Who Help Them Thrive! ❤️🧠

Today the Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital annual Stroke Survivors Lunch brought together stroke survivors, EMS personnel, physicians, nurses, rehabilitation specialists and other healthcare professionals for a meaningful afternoon of connection and celebration.

This special event allowed two of our team, Attendant Paramedics William Bickel and Karla Moreno to reunite with patients who recently suffered a stroke and are healing today thanks to their expertise. It's a powerful reminder that from the first moments of an emergency call and transport, through hospital treatment and rehabilitation, and beyond, it truly takes a team. Every link in the chain plays an important role in helping patients recover and return to the lives they love.

We’re honored to come together, celebrate the incredible journeys of stroke survivors, and strengthen the partnerships that make a difference when every second counts. 🧠⏱️❤️

Recently, EMT Taylor Beirne visited a local school to give students an inside look at Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare! 🏫✨

From exploring the ambulance and its equipment to learning what it takes to care for patients in an emergency, students got a firsthand look at the important work our EMS professionals do every day. 🚨🩺

We’re proud of Taylor for taking the time to connect with our community, educate young minds, and inspire the next generation of potential first responders! 💙🙌

What a night! ❤️💙 Harris County ESD 11 was proud to join our community for National Night Out and connect with the people we’re honored to serve. 👨‍🚒🚑

Our trucks and crews made stops throughout the community, visiting neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and local events to meet families, answer questions, show off our equipment, and—most importantly—build relationships! 🤝😊
