Tropical depression number 5 is forecast to become tropical storm Edouard later this evening, it will make landfall around midday Tuesday on the upper Texas coast. ☔This will create a narrow band of heavy rain as the system is quite small, some areas will get 5 to 7 inches, while others nearby may get almost nothing. Know your flood threat! Visit the FEMA Flood Map Service online and enter in your address to check your area.

Winds are forecast to be minimal tropical storm strength. The power outage threat is not 0, but it's much lower than with Beryl 2 years ago. As always please keep an eye on your neighbors and make sure those with health considerations are prepared and monitored.

🚗Labor Day Weekend is Coming Up! Don’t Forget Car Seat Safety! 👶🛡️

Whether you’re heading across town or taking a long road trip, making sure your little passengers are properly secured can make all the difference. ❤️

Before you pull out of the driveway:

✅ Make sure your child is in the right car seat for their age, size and developmental stage
✅ Check that the car seat is installed correctly and securely
✅ Keep children rear-facing as long as possible according to their car seat’s limits
✅ Make sure the harness is snug and positioned correctly
✅ Avoid bulky coats or clothing underneath the harness
✅ Everyone in the vehicle should be buckled up—every trip, every time!
✅ Give yourself extra time for stops, snacks and breaks on longer trips 🧃🛑

And remember: Never leave a child alone in a vehicle, even for a few minutes. 🌡️🚫

Before any road trip make the destination the only thing you have to worry about. Buckle up, slow down and get there safely! 🇺🇸❤️

At last night's ESD 11 Commissioner board meeting, we were proud to honor Paramedic Savannah Kelly for her outstanding clinical care and exceptional patient advocacy. This commendation is especially meaningful because it came directly from her In‑Charge Paramedic partner, who is deeply impressed by Savannah’s compassion, clinical judgment, and commitment to doing what was best for her patient.

Recently Savannah was dispatched to a call for a patient reporting chest pain. Upon arrival, she found a 15‑year‑old experiencing not only chest pain but also symptoms consistent with a stroke— extremely rare in someone so young.

Acting quickly, Savannah contacted the patient’s mother to obtain consent and transported the patient to a comprehensive stroke center. Once at the hospital, Savannah continued to be a strong advocate, pushing for early stroke activation even though the patient’s age made the diagnosis unlikely. Her persistence ensured that the medical team took swift action—and she was right. The patient was, in fact, experiencing a stroke.

Savannah’s decisive thinking, rapid intervention, and unwavering advocacy undoubtedly improved this young patient’s outcome and changed the trajectory of her life.
Savannah, thank you for your exceptional care and the dedication you bring to your patients every day. Congrats Savannah!!! 🩷

Harris County ESD 11 recently had the incredible honor of hosting a special reunion with Ricardo Colina, a cardiac arrest survivor whose life was saved thanks to the rapid response and teamwork of our dedicated medics, logistics personnel and the heroic firefighters of the Harris County ESD 16 - Klein Fire Department
In-charge Paramedic Mohammad Edaibes, AEMT Madelyn Parker and logistics ace ReVaughn Tolden used their skills and professionalism to bring Ricardo back to his family and this day was all about them, celebrating the outcome that matters most: a life saved and a family kept whole.
Seeing Ricardo again for the first time since bringing him back to life at an urgent care with his mom, is the greatest reward our crews could ask for. We are proud to serve a community that supports emergency responders and believes in the power of teamwork and preparedness.
👏 Thank you to every responder who played a role in this life-saving effort.
