With the potential of 3-5 inches or more of rain Tuesday into Wednesday, as well as wind gusts in the 20-30 mph range, Precinct 3 crews are prepared to respond.
Priorities will include: High-water areas on the roads; downed trees or large debris blocking lanes of traffic; and any blocked roadside storm drains.

Residents are reminded to avoid high-water spots on the roads.

⏳🏃‍♂️Precinct 3 hit the ground running this summer, using the 11 week break to complete a wide range of road improvement projects.

Major projects progressed this past week as asphalt shoulder replacement was completed on West Branch Crossing, Crane Brook and Craftwood, and was started on Branch Crossing (between Woodlands Parkway and Research Forest Drive).

Striping was completed on the extended left-turn lane at Gosling Road and New Trails Drive.

The right-turn lane extension on northbound Kuykendahl Road at Woodlands Parkway started -- with concrete pour scheduled for 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Completion of the widening of westbound Flintridge Drive between South Panther Creek Drive and Gosling Road, as well as the opening of the signalized Rayford Road-Discovery Creek intersection.

⛔️ I-45 Construction ⛔️

Starting Tonight, TX DoT 45 Southbound lane Closures will slow traffic to a crawl.

Interstate 45, southbound from Spring Creek (the Montgomery County - Harris County line) to Spring Cypress Road/FM 2920, will be closed down to ONE lane. The closure will be from TONIGHT at 9pm, Friday 8/21, to noon on Sunday, 8/23.

The last exit before the closure is 72A.
This may add considerable drive time to your trip. I would suggest avoiding the area by using an alternate route.

‼️Traffic alerts for week of August 24-28‼️

* Repaving of Geneva south of Rayford Road starting Monday morning (expect some delays; take alternate routes)

* Repaving of Branch Crossing Drive shoulders (expect some delays and alternate lane closures with flaggers)

* Right-turn lane extension on northbound Kuykendahl Road at Woodlands Parkway (Concrete pour scheduled for 3 a.m. Wednesday).

💪Another milestone reached!
Precinct 3 Road and Bridge crew members installed curb at the intersection of Grogan's Mill Road and Grogan's Mill Village Center in preparation for the re-signalization of that intersection.
Traffic signal equipment is slated for delivery in early fall.
