🐴🇺🇸 Commissioner Wheeler had the privilege to visit Henry's Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary with Commissioner Walker, a few of his staff and owners Dennis and Darlene Gagnon.

Dennis and Darlene have created something remarkable. Through equine-assisted programs, they help veterans find healing, connection, and personal growth. The bond between horses and humans fosters trust, confidence, and emotional well-being, and its impact on the veterans they serve is inspiring.

Their mission extends beyond equine therapy. Henry’s Home partners with organizations across the county to connect veterans and their families with resources, support services, and assistance when needed. Their commitment to serving those who have served our country is evident in all they do.

Thank you to Dennis and Darlene for welcoming us and sharing your passion. Call them today for your own special tour. You will be very impressed and make sure and ask to meet not only the beautiful horses, but also Warren and Lucy the pigs. 🐷

Hurricane season officially began Monday, and NOW is the time to prepare, not when a storm is already headed our way. Here's a few tips from Commissioner.

✅ Build or refresh your emergency kit with water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries and important documents

✅ Take photos of your home and valuables for insurance purposes. You never know!

🔥🧯Huge shoutout to The Woodlands Fire Department for hosting us today for Fire Ops training. Commissioner Wheeler joined several elected officials for an eye opening experience that gave us a firsthand look at the intense training and preparation our firefighters go through every single day.

Today brought a whole new level of appreciation for the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our community. We are incredibly grateful for their sacrifice, dedication, and service. 🚒👨‍🚒

North Houston Association
annual awards ceremony brought together so many outstanding leaders today. Commissioner Wheeler had the opportunity to hear from a panel featuring Mark Keough County Judge and Tom S Ramsey, PE, Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner's Office.

Congratulations to Kim Sachtleben on receiving the Compass Award, Jill Nispel Boullion for receiving the Environmental Impact Award, and Jim Holcomb for being honored with the North Star Award. We are grateful to live in a community filled with incredible leaders who are helping pave the path for the future.
