Our 8th Annual First Chapter Fall kicks off THIS WEEK! 🥳

A crosstown collaboration with our friends Red Dog Library and DTSOI library!

One Town, One Month, Three Schools. During the month of September Har-Ber High School, Springdale High School, and Don Tyson School of Innovation will be joining forces to promote literacy by reading ONE chapter each week during English classes.

Each week students will be exposed to a different high interest novel. The goal is to introduce new books and hopefully hook some high school kiddos with high interest reads.

We LOVED meeting all of our Sophomore Wildcats during the first two weeks of school! After 33 student library Goosechase orientations, we’ve gotten to know the Class of 2029 and are confident they’re ready for a great year. We’re so glad to have you in the library!

Today we hosted a Blind Date with a Book event with our English Department to reveal this year’s First Chapter Fall titles! Every story begins with a first chapter, and we can’t wait to help our students connect with new characters and stories they’ll remember.

We ended our week of professional development with our 8th Annual Bagels and Books in the Library event! We have the best faculty and staff at Har-Ber High School, and we are looking forward to the best year yet! 💙🩵
