The rain gave us a break on Saturday to hold the 2026 Police Expo and it turned out to be a complete success! A huge thank you to the Springdale Community for coming out to the event even with the sketchy weather. Also thanks to all the area police agencies for coming out to show off their equipment. We had a great time and are already planning for next year!

The Springdale Police Department will be hosting the 2026 Law Enforcement Expo this Saturday, May 16th from 12:00-3:00pm at the Springdale Community Center! There will be nearly 30 police agencies in attendance including SWAT, Dive Team, Police drones, a K9 demonstration and a Taser demonstration! FREE hot dogs, chips, and water all day and FREE Kona Ice from 1-2pm. Bring the entire family for a FREE lunch and lots of FREE goodies. FREE bike helmets provided by Ohio AAP’s β€œPut a Lid On It” Program. Fun for kids of all ages and a great opportunity to meet local officers from all over the community. Last night was the final class for the ADVANCED Citizen's Police Academy in Springdale. These folks have all attended our basic Citizen's Police Academy which begins in September. The Advanced class is a shorter, more in-depth version with many discussion topics and is believed to be one of only a few in the nation. It's Spring, time to CLEANUP your medicine cabinet of unneeded Rx meds and drop them off at the Springdale Police Department on April 25, 10am-2pm, for proper disposal. Don't let them fall into the wrong hands!
