NWTI Adult Education

NWTI Adult Education Classes are also offered for non-native speaking adults who desire to speak, read, and write the English language, or obtain United States Citizenship.

The Adult Ed Center at Northwest Technical Institute provides community services: FREE classes to adults seeking GED, employability skills, ESL, and Citizenship instruction. The Adult Education Center at NWTI offers free instruction to adults who need to obtain a high school equivalency diploma (GED®) or wish to improve basic academic skills. In addition, academic computer skill training, workplac

e training and WAGE certifications, career support, and test preparation assistance are available. Day and evening classes are conducted at the center on the NTI campus, as well as at various locations throughout the Springdale area. Individualized instruction, flexible scheduling, and distance learning opportunities are offered. Individuals may enroll on Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Center Hours

8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m

The NWTI Adult Education Center provides equal access to all programs and activities. Accommodations for disabilities are available. Confidentiality: No student information will be shared with a third party without the written consent of that student. All services are paid by Arkansas Department of Career Education, Adult Education Division.

We are thrilled to introduce Ms. Laura Collins as the new Director of the NWTI Adult Education Center!
Ms. Laura has been a cherished part of our NWTI family since 2015, most recently serving as our Assistant Director ("2nd in command"). Prior to joining us, she built a strong foundation in adult education elsewhere, bringing years of dedicated experience to our community.
To say Ms. Laura knows adult education inside and out is an understatement. Over the course of her career, she has taught nearly every program we offer—including GED prep, Prison Education, ESL, Citizenship, and WAGE. Her deep understanding of the classroom, paired with her infectious energy, sunshine, and genuine compassion for our faculty, staff, and students, makes her the perfect leader for our next chapter.
Please join us in congratulating Ms. Laura on her new role! We are so excited for what lies ahead and look forward to a vibrant new school year of learning, growth, and success together.
