One thing we’re especially proud of: Woodford Fire Department had ZERO grass fires within our own district during August. All four grass fire responses were mutual aid calls, meaning our department was able to step up and assist neighboring departments when they needed extra hands.

Volunteer fire departments across the country are struggling to find help, and Carter County is no exception.

On May 30th at around 3:30 PM, a bucket fell off one of our brush trucks while we were heading to a fire. Fortunately, upon returning to the station, we found the bucket safely positioned in front of our door.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the individual who returned our equipment. This good deed reassures our commitment to serving the community.
