📣📰MEET THE ALL- STAR CRSA TEAM - VOLUME 2
In our series, IN THE SPOTLIGHT🔦, we will be placing the spotlight on our NEW team member serving Central Illinois:

⭐️Meet Chelsey Smith, Regional Coordinator serving Central Illinois, CRSA Community and Residential Services Authority.

🏫Education/Background- Chelsey"s undergraduate degree is in LBS1. She taught Special Education for 13 years in the public school setting. She has a Masters Degree in LBS2 as well as a Masters in School Counseling.

🕘How long have you been at CRSA? I have been at CRSA for a little under a year.

🩷What does serving families mean to you?- My goal when entering the field of education was to try and impact as many families as I could. For me, this job allows me to have a positive impact with families and children all over central Illinois.

🗺 Chelsey serves the following counties: Sangamon Logan, Livingston, Peoria, Menards, McLean and Champaign

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧Chelsey has been married to her wonderful husband Derek for 13 years. He is the Assistant Principal at Williamsville High School and coaches football. They have two beautiful children.

Governor, Juliana Stratton and Dr. Dana Weiner, Director, Illinois Children's Behavioral Health Tranformation Iniative announce the launch of the new online portal BEACON☀️ to centralize behavioral health resources for Illinois youth and families.

📣📰MEET THE ALL- STAR CRSA TEAM - VOLUME I
In our series, IN THE SPOTLIGHT🔦, we will be placing the spotlight on the CRSA Staff:

⭐️Meet Nancy Aguirre: Regional Coordinator, CRSA Community and Residential Services Authority. For the past 10 years she has been employed as the Northern Area Regional Coordinator with CRSA Community and Residential Services Authority. Nancy covers 🗺 North to Wisconsin, West to Iowa and East just before Cook or Lake Michigan, then south to just below I -80.

📰Nancy has worked in the field of Children’s Mental Health for over 25 years and has been a Licensed Social Worker with the State of Illinois since 2008.

🖊Ms. Aguirre began her career treating youth with mental health disabilities through a community Screening Assessment and Support Services (SASS) agency, then worked for the Department of Children and Family Services as a Child Protection Investigator in which she assertively advocated for the protection of neglected and abused children.

🖊As a CRSA Regional Coordinator Nancy has extensive expertise with services offered through all Illinois state code departments that serve youth with mental, behavioral, and developmental disabilities.

🖊Ms. Aguirre has devoted her career to helping children with disabilities and their families.

💚She understands the importance of Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment principals. She believes that all youth with mental health, behavioral health and developmental disabilities deserve access to the clinically appropriate and medically necessary therapeutic interventions that will help them develop to their fullest potential!

Community Residential Services Authority have been busy providing technical assistance to families, service providers, educators and other professionals to help plan and implement appropriate, effective services for children with severe emotional disturbances and/or behavior disorders (SED/BD), in Illinois.

Through IEP/504 meetings, presentations, Community and State informational seminars and resource fairs, we have been crisscrossing the state to SERVE YOU!
