We are gearing up for another exciting year of music, dance, and theater performances from the talented students at Missouri State University!

Meyer Library is conveniently located between Ellis Hall and Wehr Band Hall...stop by to spin some records, browse the books and music scores, knock out that music theory assignment on our Finale-enabled computers, or create music in our soundproofed VocalBooth. It's going to be a great semester.

It's Audition time!

If you've wanted to audition for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, now is your chance. We have open positions for:

• Principal Tuba
• Section Violin 1
• Section Violin 1 (1-year position)
• Section Viola (2 positions)
• Section Cello
• Section Bass (1-year position)
• Section Percussion
• Section Percussion (1-year position)

JUST ARRIVED AT THE MUSIC LIBRARY!
From the Backstage list of “8 Must-Read Books to Prepare for Your Next Audition” (posted February 14, 2019), we now have Neil Rutherford’s 2012 publication Musical Theatre Auditions and Casting: A Performer’s Guide Viewed from Both Sides of the Audition Table.
It’s a quick and fun read…full of personal anecdotes from Rutherford and others in the industry.
