Hello! My name is Ali Brokenshire, and I am a new Service Coordinator at Lincoln Street. I have spent my career in healthcare and disability advocacy, previously working as an Employment Specialist and Direct Support Professional at HCRS. In these roles, I supported individuals in developing career skills, finding meaningful employment, and achieving greater independence. I’m excited to bring this experience to Lincoln Street and to continue working alongside individuals to help them reach their goals.
On a more personal note, I’ve always been passionate about advocacy, but outside of work, I love getting lost in a good book, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family. I’m always up for a deep dive into fantasy lore or a cozy game night!

Please join Project SEARCH and DHMC, for a special screening of THE RIDE AHEAD, a documentary by Emmy-Award winning father-son filmmaker duo Dan and Samuel Habib, on March 28 from 4:30-7pm, at DHMC Lebanon in Auditorium E and F. THE RIDE AHEAD follows Samuel Habib, a typical 21-year-old, itching to move out, start a career, and find love. But no one tells you how to be an adult, let alone an adult with a disability. Samuel is determined to avoid the statistical realities: unemployment, isolation, institutionalization. He seeks out wisdom through conversations with disabled mentors: comedian Maysoon Zayid, Americans with Disabilities Act legends Judy Heumann and Bob Williams; Tony-winning wheelchair-using pioneer Ali Stroker; hip-hop artist Keith Jones; autistic, q***r activist Lydia X.Z. Brown; and marathon runner and disability activist Andrew Peterson. Following the screening, Dan and Samuel Habib will conduct a post-film discussion with the audience. The screening and discussion is free and open to the public. Please reach out to Project SEARCH at [email protected] or call 603-650-6439 if you require any accommodations. The film will be shown with open captions and is in a wheelchair accessible venue.

Dan and Samuel will be there in person and will do a Q and A following the movie. If you don’t know who they are you are really in for a treat! Dan and Samuel make some really engaging, thoughtful, and inspiring documentaries.
