Founders Park

Founders Park On the site of the founding of Springfield, Founders Park celebrates our city's history.

Includes an open-air amphitheater, home to the summer Wednesday Concerts at Noon series. Also features photos, plaques and murals chronicling Springfield history. The park's concrete block construction is meant to reflect the site's history as a quarry. The fountain is meant to signify the spring that was once on the site, where pioneer John Polk Campbell founded the city in 1830.

Thank you to all our performers for their energy and talent. Your music brought Downtown Springfield to life each week.
