So I’ve been getting messages, been seeing and reading a lot of things no new ambulance tax districts! Since they past the law last year to allow the new districts I’ve heard a lot of areas across the state filling. We have a few up north here that i know of and been getting message of some down state.
My only input is ems has been underfunded since the professional field was born. Many fire districts are combo with fire/ems. Some city’s keep it as a seperate devision. And of course our private side of it.
I do see a need of all the types! They have a place and job for all. Only thing with the private side, it is very difficult financially if you do not have a high volume of calls and IFT to support. Many areas contract 911 service to private companies that is tax base supported. Most contract amounts are base off of number of transports to maintain multiple factors. Such as response time average, UHU basically how much the unit is used, and cost of readiness in atea located.
We are seeing national average no matter now basic life support or advance life support between 700k and 1.5 million per ambulance. With average response time of 10 minutes or less from where the ambulance is stationed at!

Just comment across the state where some of these new district are being proposed!!! And any issues! Not looking for debate or arguing!!! Just wanting feedback! Thank you!

Well it looks like the people to the south are at it again! Smh

With elections just around the corner, many areas across the state of Illinois are in dyer need of the new taxing districts for EMS ambulance. Funding is much needed for the future survival advancements with equipment and competitive wages. Funding in most areas is not existing or struggling with the possibility of collapsing! With the support of many elected officials, fire districts, nurse and hospital associations with Illinois Ambulance Associationation support and urge everyone to get out and Vote YES for ambulance districts in your area!
