You have a chance to double your impact for families facing hunger today thanks to a generous match from Paul Mueller Company! This match comes at the right time as families experiencing food insecurity face the extra challenges that summer brings.

Today is the summer solstice, the longest day of the year with more sunlight to enjoy the season. But for children who rely on school breakfast and lunch, these summer days can feel too long. Summer is tough for families facing hunger as they stretch already thin budgets to fill the gap where school meals used to be. Add in higher utility bills and childcare costs, and that gap can grow too wide to bridge.

Right now, every $1 you donate before the match runs out will help provide $20 worth of groceries for a family facing hunger. You can give now at https://ozarksfoodharvest.org/food-for-summer/

Thank you so much for your generosity as we work to end summer hunger in southwest Missouri.

While you're shopping at Hy-Vee in Springfield tomorrow, June 18, keep an eye out for volunteers collecting food and funds from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at both Springfield locations!

These folks from community business are volunteering on behalf of United Way's annual Day of Caring, a southwest Missouri tradition encouraging community members to volunteer for a day of high-impact fun. All food collected at Hy-Vee tomorrow will benefit Ozarks Food Harvest's efforts to end hunger in the Ozarks.

Note: We'll be monitoring the weather to ensure the safety of our volunteers and food donations. We will contact volunteers if we have to delay or cancel due to inclement weather.

❤️ Seeing the faces of our neighbors seeking food assistance reminds us why we work to end hunger in southwest Missouri — because everyone deserves to have the food they need. Last month, 162 households were able to pick up food for themselves and their families at our Mobile Food Pantry distribution in Pineville. That’s more than 280 people who got a little help putting food on the table.

🫂 We met so many kind folks who are working hard to feed their households. They were able to pick up fresh fruits and veggies, meat, canned goods, bread and pantry staples to help makes ends meet.

🤝 We’d also like to extend a special thanks to Molina Healthcare for sponsoring this Mobile Food Pantry. Their grant helped us purchase the food we needed to serve the Pineville community.

One of our drivers snapped this photo of a recent fill-up for one of our trucks. And we know if we're feeling the strain, then so are households facing hunger across southwest Missouri.

This tank of gas will last our truck 2-3 days of delivering food to our network of charities across southwest Missouri. We take on these fuel costs so we can deliver food to our network at no extra charge to our partner charities, which helps our partner charities focus on serving folks facing hunger directly— especially some of our smaller partners who need to stretch every dollar.

As gas prices rise, more of our neighbors will need help to make ends meet. We're committed to helping children, families and seniors access the food they need and deserve.

You can help us meet the need by making a gift at ozarksfoodharvest.org. Thank you so much for your generosity in the movement to end hunger, especially right now.
