💙 What an incredible two days!

As we wrap up the 2026 Prevent Child Abuse Illinois Conference, we can't help but feel grateful for the amazing people, meaningful conversations, and lasting connections that made this year's event so special!

Over the past two days, we've had the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, build new partnerships, share ideas, and connect with passionate individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of Illinois children and families.

From our inspiring presenters and engaging sessions to the conversations and connections made along the way, this conference has been a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together with a shared purpose.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this year's conference possible. Your dedication to strengthening families and preventing child abuse is what makes this work so meaningful.

💙 Building Resilience, Strengthening Families!

A special thank you to Maryville Academy and the Stephen Sexton Training Institute for hosting a screening of Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope, followed by an insightful expert panel discussion.

The event explored the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the importance of building resilience, strengthening protective factors, and supporting children and families.

We were grateful for the expertise shared by panelists Lisa Hassler (United Stand), Ilinca Wallace (Birth to Five), Victoria Poklop (Des Plaines Police Department), Sarah Melgarejo (Maryville Academy), and Heather Kendall (NAMI Cook County North Suburban).
