"It's just money."

If I told my family I put us more in debt, no big deal...Well, you probably know the response..

Yesterday, I received a call from DHHS on behalf of the person I have been advocating for. They informed me that the person being advocated for had "passed" the money part. I am grateful for the call. The first one I received since beginning this journey last fall.

Now, I await for the Bureau of Disabilities. Yippe Skippee. :P

The biggest problem is that they want the individual to work with a local organization. This "local organization" is useless. So, another battle on the forefront.

But, I am grateful for the personal phone call.

For over 8 months, I have been working to help an individual obtain specific care and waiver. It has been a nightmare. The office of DHHS is ridiculous. This individual has lived in this state for 10 plus years and has NOT lived in California for over 20. But, this is the third time this action has been taken.

The people who work here do not like the fact that I ask and advocate. They recently listed my suggestions as a complaint. There is a reason many like DOGE while others hate it.

I have dealt with rudeness. (Documented.) I have dealt with an inability to proved answers or even acknowledge them. I have been asked to submit and resubmit the same paperwork. I have been lied to. And while we await the waiver and care for this individual, this came yesterday.

"Oops. Maybe we can't help you because you are in the wrong state." WHAT?

I have reached out to elected officials, avoided sending this to watchdog organizations, TV, radio, and print.

I feel like Popeye. "I’ve had all I can take, and I can’t take no more!"

Anecdotal(Personal) is not the big picture.

Metrics in business for employees

Employee performance metrics are tools to measure individual and team contributions to organizational goals. These metrics provide quantitative and qualitative insights into productivity, engagement, and overall effectiveness, helping leaders make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement3. Some important employee performance metrics include:

▶Task completion rate: The percentage of tasks completed by an employee.
▶Quality of work: Ensuring employees produce correct, detailed work that meets required standards.
▶Attendance and punctuality: Measuring employee attendance and punctuality.
▶Customer satisfaction: Evaluating employee impact on customer satisfaction.
▶Efficiency: Assessing employee productivity and efficiency.
▶Teamwork and cooperation: Evaluating collaboration and teamwork.
▶Revenue per employee: Measuring the impact of individual performance on revenue.
▶Employee engagement: Gauging employee satisfaction and engagement
Wherever you work, being asked to show production is not wrong.

Updates

NH DHHS is 60 plus days of sitting on a document that can open the door to an ABD for a TBI. They told me they have 80 days, though I can find this no where on their site or anywhere else.

A local organization in Keene, who works with disabled people who have suffered TBI, promised me the paperwork to begin services over a month ago. A more recent email indicated I would see that paperwork by the next day. Two weeks later, I am still waiting.

Letters to some elected officials got some "reaction" but no closer to the goal.

If organizations receive taxpayer monies, ought they not be responsible to the taxpayer? While I do not believe that pulling a chainsaw out to cut spending without investigation is the full answer, I do hope considers looking at these or at least our state and our state officials.

South Dakota last night voted for the Term Limits Convention.

I read with interest on a friend's post about investigative reporting and the 4th estate.

As someone who has been in the world of media (radio, print, TV, and internet) what I know they are asking for is real reporting. Not opinions and leaning news (To ANY side.) that people scroll on by.

I had an editor at a group of my newspapers. He was left leaning and I, not. :) But, even our investigative stuff was what it was and where it fell.

As someone who has worked in the world of media (radio, print, TV, and internet), I know they are asking for real reporting, not opinions and biased news (to ANY side) that people scroll on by.

I recently spoke to a former editor of a sizable newspaper to discuss some things I want to address, including failing responsibility at DHHS and some federally funded organizations.

We are still working on it.

Is necessary? Maybe. How do we address inconsistency in organizations like and ?

He suggested I put the Weekly Clarion back in play. Yeah, no. :)

If you receive public taxes, should you be required to "show your work"? I think there needs to be some metric,

If you are a nonprofit that takes federal and state monies, should you do your job?

If you are a nonprofit and you make 2 promises to a taxpayer and a client advocate, and your promises are 2 weeks overdue, and you have not seen fit to respond to 3 emails, is that not a problem? Why should you continue to receive taxpayer monies?

Questions I am pondering.

In this pursuit of helping someone with services, there are organizations and elected officials who have stepped up. And I will be talking about them for their positive input into this process.

The system may be corrupt. The system may be broken. The system may be ignorant.

It is up to us to break through the insular thinking.
