The New England District is proud to celebrate the American worker today. Labor Day is a holiday rooted in the late nineteenth century when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize workers' many contributions to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being. This Labor Day, we're celebrating workers by building an equitable, empowered workforce. The New England District values diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, cultures, and skills while being committed to building an inclusive work environment where they can contribute to their fullest potential.

Be safe. Enjoy the beautiful weather and good food.

Happy Labor Day!

Wanna know why you see a lot of personnel at our projects?

Both project personnel and technical experts are monitoring every dam in the Upper Connecticut River Basin. We inspect out of an abundance of caution and inspections are triggered by certain pool heights, NOT because we have a problem.

All dams are functioning as designed!
