Bona is a MPH student at Missouri State University with a background in dentistry, community health, and a passion for global health. 🌎🩺

As a Graduate Assistant at the Ozarks Public Health Institute (OPHI), Bona supports public health initiatives while gaining valuable experience in outreach, communication, and real-world public health practice.

Beyond OPHI, Bona is actively involved in the Missouri State community as the Student Liaison to the Missouri Public Health Association, Secretary of the Nepalese Student Association, and a BearPULSE Peer Educator.

Bona’s journey reflects the power of connecting healthcare, public health, and community engagement and a commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond borders. 💙

Meet Debbie! ❤️

Debbie is a graduate student at Missouri State University pursuing her MBA while also completing a second major in Information Technology. She also serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Global Education and Engagement Office. 🌍

In her role, Debbie has the opportunity to connect with students from all around the world, helping them feel welcomed, supported, and settled into life at MSU. She also helps plan and coordinate events and programs that make students’ experiences outside the classroom even more exciting! 🎉

Debbie chose Missouri State because of its commitment to student success and the genuine sense of community she experienced from the application process to campus life. She’s proud and grateful to be part of the Bear Family! 💛🐻

✨Meet Yomna! 🐻💛

After earning a Master’s in Project Management and a Graduate Certificate in Conflict and Dispute Resolution, she began a career as a Project Manager while continuing to make an impact in their community.

During her time at MSU, she served as a Graduate Assistant Success Coach, worked with Global Education & Engagement to launch the Online Conversation Circles program, and led a Bear Breaks service trip to Memphis. She also competed on MSU’s debate team, advancing to the semifinals of a national Arabic debate competition and representing Missouri State internationally in Qatar! 🌎

Today, she continue giving back by supporting a mentoring initiative connecting MSU students with refugee youth in Springfield.
