UPDATE 5:45 PM: The boil water advisory issued August 22 for southeast Springfield has been fully lifted. All repairs are complete, and water quality tests confirmed the water is safe. If your water looks cloudy or discolored, you can run your faucets for a few minutes until the water runs clear. This may be caused by air in the water lines.

UPDATE 4:25 PM: The boil water advisory issued August 22 remains in effect for customers north of Highway 60.
One water sample did not have a satisfactory result, so crews are collecting more samples tonight. This can happen. It’s common procedure to retest, to confirm the results and to reevaluate tomorrow.
New test results are expected Monday afternoon. We will share another update when the results are available.
If you are still under the advisory, boil your drinking water for 3–5 minutes before using it.

🚨 The boil water advisory issued on August 22 after a water main break in southeast Springfield has been lifted for customers south of Highway 60.
Customers south of Highway 60 have received a notification that the advisory was lifted, and they can resume normal water use. No additional steps are needed. Water quality tests confirmed the water is safe to drink.
⚠️ Customers north of Highway 60 in the impacted area remain under the boil water advisory while we wait for test results. We expect those results later this afternoon and will provide another update when they are available.
