The Illinois Board of Higher Education’s Student Advisory Committee (IBHE-SAC) is a committee made up of student leaders and students from any college, university, or community college from across Illinois. Our mission is to advocate on behalf of all higher education students in Illinois and strive to ensure that their voices are represented in state-level discussions of higher educations related

issues. All institution of higher education in Illinois are encouraged to send a student representative to our meetings. In saying that, I invite you to check out the site and discover how you can become a part of the IBHE-SAC. The first IBHE SAC meeting of the year will be held on Saturday, September 9th at the IBHE Offices in Springfield. We will be holding elections for the 4 leadership positions of SAC. Thank you to the IBHE-SAC members for attending the IBHE meeting today at Aurora University. Prior to the meeting our members were able to have a great lunch with IBHE board members and staff. Our executive chairman, Daniel Heylin was also able to give an update on all of the great work of the student advisory committee at the meeting.
