MSU ASCE and NSPE Student Chapter

Exciting, historical, and rewarding experiences for us with three top awards at the annual Mid-America ASCE Student Symposium. Seventeen universities from six mid-west states participated in various events at the symposium. We competed in four: Surveying Competition of the UESI - Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute, ASCE 3D Printing Competition - Bridging the Future, ASCE Sustainable Solutions Competition, and Technical Paper.

We won three top awards.

Mid-America Champion in the 3D printing competition
Highest Structural Efficiency in the 3D printing competition
Mid-America Technical Paper Champion

We really had so much fun spending time with other engineering student societies at the Engineering at Missouri State/Missouri S&T. Thank you to the MSU ASME Student Chapter for organizing it. We had fun spending time yesterday! Everyone came together for our first Engineering Student Organization Showcase event in Springfield. Students proudly presented what they have been doing over the last few months. Some brought shiny trophies. Overall, a great start. Let's hope we have many more such events. Our officers, members, and faculty advisors were joined by students from the MSU Art and Design Department and Engineering at Missouri State/Missouri S&T to clean up part of Jordan Creek in Downtown Springfield on November 8th, 2025. We do it twice a year, and it is one of many ways to give back to the local community and prevent pollution.
