IRTA is dedicated exclusively to retired educators. Its sole mission is to represent retirees and keep advocacy at the Capitol focused on the issues that matter most to you.

While Illinois pensions are constitutionally protected, past efforts to weaken those protections, such as Heaton v. Quinn, show why strong, retiree-focused advocacy remains essential.
