We’ve all seen the hospital chaos play out on TV… but what happens when a real emergency impacts a hospital in real life?

In our latest episode of HometownReady, we’re taking a behind-the-scenes look at healthcare in emergency management.

We’re breaking down what Hollywood gets wrong, how teams coordinate under pressure, and the planning that happens long before a crisis begins.

We thank our partners Mercy Hospital Springfield and CoxHealth for being part of this discussion!

It's been almost two months since the historic hailstorm hit SW Missouri. Here's where we're at in the disaster declaration process.

We've submitted almost 6,000 damage reports, teams from the state and federal level have compiled their own reports, and now we wait for decisions to be made at the federal level.

We're not the only ones waiting. This entire process can take several months to complete.

We'll provide additional updates as soon as we receive them.
