If you’ve not been to the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden in a bit, you may not know that our main gate is getting a glow up! There’s still work to be done, but it will be finished in time for the Japanese Fall Festival 🇯🇵 2026. Until the main gate is done, you can access the garden through the exit gate. Admission rates are the same as always.

The Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden bandanas have been restocked and we have a new color! Buy your 40th anniversary garden map bandanas at our gift shop or the ticket window at the Japanese Stroll Garden for $10 each.
Rumor has it there will be even more colors at the Japanese Fall Festival 🇯🇵 2026 market next month.

Our Kids Corner of the Lois K. Boswell reference library is getting a refresh! After four years and many friendly readers, the floating shelves could no longer support the weight of all our fun books. Now we have this lovely shelving unit similar to what you would find at Springfield-Greene Co. Library District. We even sorted them into categories! Come check out this little hidden gem next time you need to cool down.

The Roston Native Butterfly House may have shortened hours or be closed during that time for the safety of our docents and visitors. Even without a daily dose of futbol, you can show your continued support for international friendship and culture (and get a bucket hat or t-shirt) by donating $25 or more to our Traveling Musician Fund to help Grupo musical Canela from Tlaquepaque, Mexico, travel in late September to Isesaki, Japan, with Springfield's citizen delegation. It's our effort to unite these three sister cities as we celebrate our 40th anniversary this year. 🇺🇸 🇯🇵 🇲🇽
