🎉 Congratulations to GSVFD’s Own Ivy and Richard!🎉

Please join us in congratulating Ivy , BLS Provider of the Year, and Richard, Canteen Member of the Year!

Both Ivy and Richard exemplify volunteerism at its highest level. Their dedication, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to serving others reflect the very best of the Greater Springfield Volunteer Fire Department.

Volunteers like Ivy and Richard remind us that it takes more than a willingness to serve to make a difference. It takes heart, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others when they need it most.

We are incredibly proud to have them as part of our GSVFD family. Thank you both for all you do for our department and our community. Your service makes a difference, and this recognition is well deserved! 👏🚑❤️

🏆 Best Open House in the 8th Battalion for 2026!

We’re incredibly proud that we were recognized by Battalion Chief Matthew Tamillow, on behalf of Fire Chief Butler, for hosting the Best Open House in the 8th Battalion! Chief Tamillow praised the creativity and impact of our fire safety education, especially the hands-on activities designed to help children and families prevent emergencies before they happen. This recognition reflects the outstanding dedication of our volunteers, and the teamwork between career and volunteer personnel who made this year's Open House one of our best yet! 🚒👏
