🌱 Our Grow a Row, Feed a Neighbor initiative is in full bloom here at the Springfield Family Center, and our hearts are beaming!

Some incredibly generous neighbors stopped by with starter plants they grew themselves to share with community members who would love to grow a garden but may not have the funds to purchase plants on their own.

Right now, we have beautiful zucchini squash plants and grape tomato plants waiting for a new home! If you’ve been hoping to grow your own fresh food this season, stop by and pick up a plant.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has stepped up to the Grow a Row challenge by donating seeds, plants, and support for this project. Your kindness is helping neighbors grow healthy, fresh food right in their own backyards. Together, we are making a meaningful and lasting difference in our community.

Fresh food really is the best food. 🌞🌿

Do you have any children's and adult summer clothing you no longer use? Our friends at Springfield Area Parent Child Center could use some donations to get them stocked up!

Tienna’s Closet is currently in need of summer clothing donations for children and youth, sizes newborn through young adult.

Donations can be dropped off Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM at the Springfield Area Parent Child Center, 80 Jack and Jill Lane, North Springfield, VT.

Today’s menu is: BRUNCH FOR LUNCH!! Pancakes with syrup, bacon or breakfast sausage (it'll be a surprise which you get) and fruit. Breakfast/snack bags will be available while supplies last, too.

Our kitchen uses a variety of cooking appliances to prepare our weekday meals. Some are used with more gusto than others. Sadly, our trusty “Josephine Baker” (what…you don’t name yours, too??) has decided she was ready to head out to greener pastures and thus, resigned her post in the SFC kitchen this past week. (It was a sad, sad day. Could we ask for a moment of silence?)
If anyone in our community has a roaster oven (Jo was a 3.5 gallon unit) that is in good/great shape (we hope to use it for a long time to come) that you are no longer using and would be willing to donate to our kitchen—that would be delightful!! Please reach out to our Kitchen Manager, Steffanie Baker, during our business hours (M-F, 9-2:30) 802-885-3646, with questions or to make arrangements. Thank you!!
