This weeks Athlete of the Week is Tristan Wood, who participates in our youth soccer league. Tristan is a newbie when it comes to soccer, but has already shown how coachable he can be. He consistently leads by example by always working hard during practices and by encouraging all of his teammates. His infectious smile is always noticed and we look forward to watching him grow, develop his skills and see what kind of success he has this season!

In partnership with Children's Mercy and Mercy Hospital Springfield, the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, is excited to bring a new, bi-weekly campaign that highlights local youth athletes in Parks!
