Boy Scout Troop 179

Boy Scout Troop 179 "Bringing the promise of scouting to Springfield for over 71 years!" 1954-2025 BSA Scout Troops 179 & 4179 serves as the Troop for the central Springfield area.

We meet at Ebbert Memorial United Methodist Church 7pm Monday night in the basement. For all boys and girls from ages 10-17 we provide an exciting and challenging experience for youth of various backgrounds. We are an extremely active troop with an outdoors type outing every month! We are an open and accepting of all youth in our troops! Our troop also has an attached Venture Crew (2179) for both

boys and girls ages 14-20 who are looking for a high adventure experience. We also are looking to restart a Cub Scout Pack 179 in Springfield for boys & girls ages 6-10 it will be a family Pack.
