Over the past two years social media hacking has made it very difficult for businesses to get their information out without being bombarded with messages, comments on giveaways to promote events and so much more.
Almost two years ago we lost admin ability on this page due to a hack that had no customer support on the Meta side to help remedy our issues.
During this time our editors were able to post however if you have ever had this happen to your business page you know that this limits your availability as well as the services your page can provide.
After tons of attempts to regain the full controls of the page from Meta we followed advice from a local business marketing group and formed our new page.
Please follow our new page as messages, comments, and event information will no longer be processed on this page.

How can you protect yourself and your business?
-have several admins assigned so that someone in your organization can regain control
-change your password regularly
-two factor authentication (it’s a pain but worth not losing your personal page as well as access to your business page)
-do not fall for the spam messages saying you’re violating Meta Standard or copyright information if Meta is truly trying to shut you down you will know!
-report spammers as spam it seems nonstop but your account does log reports that you make

Please join us on our new page to stay updated on community events, business announcements and of course all upcoming information for The Springfield Washington County Chamber of Commerce run Sorghum Festival.

That’s a wrap on Sorghum Festival 2023 the signs started coming down last night.
Thank you to the volunteers that help make this event happen:

The Springfield Washington County Chamber Board who volunteers throughout the year as we prep for the Springfield Sorghum Festival. We are blessed with people that want to enhance our businesses and our community through making memories and providing a strong base for Springfield-Washington County in the future.

Isaiah House Treatment Center for the countless efforts through Friday and Saturday to keep our festival clean and orderly. These gentlemen do a great job anticipating what is needed and got the job done!

Washington County Schools for their high schoolers that worked hard to load and unload the vendors and kept the Director hydrated!
For assisting with 5k ins and out and more.

To the Springfield Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department who came to manage traffic, interacted with the crowd, assisted with hiccups along the way and so much more. We are thankful to have the support!

Washington County Rescue who works our Sorghum Shuffle every year making it safe for our participants throughout the streets of Springfield.

Springfield City Works who help set up and tear down before and after our festival. These men are the first ones here and the last to leave! Thank you for the assistance, guidance, and for making the crazy ideas pitched your way happen.

The City of Springfield who supports the Springfield Sorghum Festival with aid of city employees. The Mayor was helping block traffic into vendor row opening morning, Springfield Main Street assisted with stickering, printing, the parade and more. City Hall staff who helps make sure all the correct forms and permissions are aquired. We are grateful for the support every year

Springfield Sun for helping us run the four page insert “Sorghum News” created by Chamber in not only Springfield papers but also in Marion, Nelson, and Spencer County papers. Thank you for the guidance and event coverage!

Our Sponsors!!!!! This year we made great efforts to show our appreciation for our sponsors but if you see one of them out and about please make sure and thank them as well. Without the sponsorships this festival could not support what we are able to do. We have wonderful community support and we hope that you will let them know that they made a difference in this community event with their support.

Special thanks to Springfield KY Tourism TITLE SPONSOR for the funding to support our advertising and the free concert with headliner JD Shelburne, what a great concert!

Maple Hill Manor Bed and Breakfast who took care of JD’s band.

The Craft Box, Mindy's Southern Charm, and Jessie McClain who provided items to welcome JD to Springfield as well!

Thank you to Duffy's Rental, LLC and Cornerstone Acres for cart shuttles as we welcomed the crowds to Main St.

There are so many more that made an impact on this past weekend and we want to thank everyone that visited our city. Thank you to those that made memories here with us, and who told a friend they have to come back next year with them.

We are blessed!
