We’re grateful to BusinessWest for highlighting the partnership between Rachel’s Table and Pioneer Valley Financial Group, our newest Seed Sustainer for the Growing Gardens program!

PV Financial Group has committed $10,000 per year for three years to support Growing Gardens, which helps our partner agencies build and maintain on-site gardens and increase access to fresh, culturally appropriate food.

Their partnership goes beyond financial support, with opportunities to provide financial literacy and budgeting classes to local individuals and families.

Rachel's Table exists because of hundreds of volunteers, generous donors, dedicated partners, local farms, businesses, and supporters who believe no one in Western Massachusetts should go hungry.

Together, we're rescuing food, reducing waste, growing fresh produce, and nourishing our neighbors—one delivery, one glean, one garden at a time.

🍎 Join us for a Pre-Rosh Hashanah Celebration! 🍎

Rachel's Table of Western Massachusetts is excited to once again partner with Lander~Grinspoon Academy and our wonderful community partners for this special family event at Park Hill Orchard!

Bring the whole family for a morning of apple picking, crafts, a storybook walk, learning to blow the shofar, and more as we prepare for the Jewish New Year together.

We'll have an activity table, where children can participate in a fun craft and learn how small acts of kindness—like donating apples—can help nourish our neighbors.

We're grateful to The Greenfield Recorder for featuring Rachel's Table's expanding gleaning program and the new truck that's helping us rescue even more fresh, local produce from farms across Western Massachusetts.

Last year alone, our volunteers gleaned (harvested) nearly 117,000 pounds of fresh produce—food that might otherwise have gone to waste—and delivered it to neighbors experiencing food insecurity throughout Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties.

This new vehicle means we can reach more farms, navigate challenging field conditions, transport more produce, and say "yes" to even more opportunities to nourish our community.

As our Director of Program Strategy, Cara Michelle Silverberg, shared in the article, our work is about being "bridge builders and connective tissue"—connecting farmers, volunteers, and partner agencies to ensure good food reaches the people who need it most.

A heartfelt thank you to the Greenfield Recorder for sharing our story, and to our supporters, volunteers, farmers, and funders who make this work possible every day.

A heartfelt thank you to Jon Tromza and the incredible team at ShopRite of Brookside Plaza for their continued partnership with Rachel's Table's ESSENtials Kosher Food Distribution Program.

For more than two years, Jon and his team have faithfully sourced strictly kosher foods for each of our holiday distributions. This week, they once again had everything prepared on time and generously helped load more than 1,230 pounds of food for our Summer Shabbat ESSENtials distribution.

This special distribution helps 44 kosher-keeping households across Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties by providing everything needed for a joyful Shabbat celebration, along with pantry staples to bridge the long stretch between Shavuot and the High Holidays.

We're also grateful to our dedicated Rachel's Table volunteers and staff, our partners at Jewish Family Service of Western Massachusetts, and the Springfield Jewish Community Center team, who all worked together to transport, pack, and distribute these groceries with care and dignity.

It truly takes a village. Thank you to everyone who makes the ESSENtials program possible. Together, we're helping ensure that families have access to the foods they need to celebrate meaningful traditions.
