The Sangamon County Democratic Party has begun the process to recommend a candidate to fill the vacancy in County Board District 12. County Board District 12 is located on the west side of Springfield and takes in parts of Leland Grove and all of Jerome.

Interested candidates must have the following qualifications:

* At least 18 years old
* Registered to vote
* Resided in District 12 for at least 1 year
* Be a Democrat in good standing - per state law, the position must be filled by a Democrat

Interested candidates are asked to submit a resume and cover letter to [email protected] by Friday, April 24th at 5pm. Qualified candidates will be contacted about next steps in the process.
