Marine Corps League Detachment 993 Meets 2ND Thursday of the Month at VFW Post 3404, 1136 E Atlantic. Open to all Marines and FMF Corpsmen.

If you are not a Marine or FMF Corpsman you can join as an associate member.

Members of Marine Corps League Detachment 993 and guests competed in the 2026 Stubby Shoot hosted by AmVets Post 188. The competition rules allowed pistols with a barrel length under 4 inches to be used. The shooter fired
30 rounds at the following distances: 10 yrd- 5 rounds in 8 sec x2, 5 yrd-5 rounds in 5 sec x2, 3 yrd-5 rounds in 3 sec x2.
Winners: Zac H 296, Zack T 291 and Travis H 289. Following the competition, the open range provided an opportunity to practice our marksmanship.

In May, Marine Corps League Detachment 993 awarded $1000 scholarships to Stockton HS graduate, Morgan N and Dayspring Christian School graduate, Eva H. We wish them both success in their future endeavors. These awards mark our 8th and 9th scholarships awarded by the Detachment over the years. While waiting to present the scholarship at Stockton a parent sitting in front of us was happy to share that her son was a previous recipient of our scholarship and that he was graduating from college this spring.
