Today Members of CCFD Stations 3 Birdtown, 4 St. Vincent, 7 Center Ridge, and several cadets from Explorer Post 1825 had CCFD County Chief Bray come out to teach some specialized burn treatment training that our members requested. After the burn treatment training we went out and rebedded some hose on Station 3’s Pumper to be more effective and better prepared.

As many of you know, The Bates Family lost their home in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 8th. We as a department always do something to help when one of our own faces difficult times, and Cayden is one of our own. All proceeds from this raffle will be going to Glen & Stephanie. If you know this family, you love this family and know that they are servants in our community the same as all of us.

Mark your calendars for Saturday May 3rd, 2025 at Devil Dog Stadium!! Conway County Fire Department Explorer Post 1825 and Van Buren County Fire Chief’s Association Explorer Post 1833 have partnered and are going to be showcasing these amazing programs!

Conway County Fire Department Explorer Post 1825 was established in 2023. We currently have 22 cadets county wide. Some of our success in this program so far in 2024. 5 previous cadets furthered their futures 4 attended the Arkansas Fire Acedemy becoming certified Fire Fighters, 2 of those have also joined the military. 1 attended Med-Tech EMS’s Summer EMT course and is currently enrolled in Advanced EMT classes. Another major success in this program is Van Buren County Fire Chief’s Association reached out to us in 2024, and wanted to start their own post. We assisted them in getting everything up and running.

After these programs got up and running we decided we wanted to showcase the things they have learned, and we want to let these young adults know just how much we appreciate them. We hope this event will become an annual event to help fund the programs to provide gear, training, and continue to allow us to send these young adults to the Fire Academy and through EMT Training.

This event will be a Modified Combat Challenge and it will be open to all Conway County Fire Department Members, All Van Buren County Fire Department Members, and all Cadets from Post 1825 and 1833.
