It may not feel like summer just yet… but sunshine season is coming fast! And today is the first day of registration for Springfield Community Pool, operated by the Summit Area YMCA, in Springfield, New Jersey - Union County! Register at www.thesay.org/scp

We have some exciting upgrades and brand-new additions happening this year:

NEW 9-Hole Mini Golf Course!
Members can enjoy mini golf:
• Weekends
• Weekdays after 4:00 PM
A fun new way for families to spend even more time together at the pool!

Gym Transformation – Now a Game & Arts Room!
We’ve turned the gym into a dedicated Games & Arts & Crafts Room for kids and adults to cool off and have fun out of the sun.

Baby Pool Upgrades
The baby pool area is getting a refresh to make it look brighter, cleaner, and even more welcoming for our youngest members.

Brand-New Lounge Chairs
Relax in comfort all summer long with new upgraded seating throughout the pool deck.

New Activities
• Daily scheduled pool games for kids and adults
• More structured fun throughout the day

Monthly Member Events
We’ll be hosting special events all summer long — the full activity calendar is coming soon!

Registration for the Summit Area YMCA's Camp Cannundus at the Springfield Community Pool in Springfield, New Jersey - Union County in Summer 2026 is open at https://www.thesay.org/programs/camp/cannundus Camp Cannundus runs for 10 weeks and is offered to children ages 4-13! At Camp Cannundus, campers will splash in the pool three times a week, conquer the brand-new mini golf course, and unleash creativity through arts & crafts, sports, team games, theme days and field trips!

We are excited to share that this Saturday, August 2, 2025, will be a Free “Bring a Friend to the Pool” Day! Any guest who comes with a current member can enjoy the Springfield Community Pool for free, courtesy of the Summit Area YMCA. In addition, from 2:00-4:00 pm, we will have tables set up to share information about all the exciting activities and programs starting this Fall at the Summit Area YMCA. Be sure to stop by and learn more! As a friendly reminder, food is not permitted in the pool or along the edge of the pool. This helps us keep the water clean. The free family-friendly outdoor event welcomes all to join in the celebration and support of love and equality in our community.
