Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden Open 10 a.m.-7 p.m., April 1-Sept. 30; 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Oct. 1-31. Closed Nov.-March. (Ex sp events)

The oldest attraction at the Springfield Botanical Gardens, the 7.5-acre Mizumoto Japanese Stroll garden was built in 1985 and includes a koi lake, moon bridge, meditation garden, tea house, traditional Japanese garden landscaping and a 7-ton Alaskan Jade stone. The garden is home to the Springfield Sister Cities Association's Japanese Fall Festival. Professional photography in the garden requires an annual photo pass ($150) or a daily photo pass ($25) available at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center, 417-891-1515

Gardens are maintained by the Friends of the Garden and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. Gardens are supported by the Springfield Sister Cities Association.

The festival is a celebration of Japanese culture in the beautiful Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden located within the extraordinary Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave., Springfield, MO.

Booth fees are $150 for info, $250 for retail, and $400 for food. Priority is given to vendors representing Japanese culture.

This year's festival is copresented by the Missouri Arts Council.
