The oldest attraction at the Springfield Botanical Gardens, the 7.5-acre Mizumoto Japanese Stroll garden was built in 1985 and includes a koi lake, moon bridge, meditation garden, tea house, traditional Japanese garden landscaping and a 7-ton Alaskan Jade stone. Professional photography in the garden requires an annual photo pass ($150) or a daily photo pass ($25) available at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center, 417-891-1515

Gardens are maintained by the Friends of the Garden and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. Gardens are supported by the Springfield Sister Cities Association.

The Stroll Garden opens for the season TOMORROW!! April 1 🌸

The redbud blooms may have been bit by the hard frost, but the dogwood blooms survived! This tree can be found in the Japanese Stroll Garden, which opens for the season April 1. Admission for adults 13+ years old is $6 and kids 3-12 are $4. 2 and under are free admission, as well as members of Friends Of The Garden and Springfield Sister Cities.
