Due to a f***l contamination incident, the Springfield Pool will be closed on June 22 and June 23 while staff complete the required cleaning, treatment, and testing procedures.

The health and safety of our swimmers is our top priority. We will be following all recommended safety regulations and protocols to ensure the water is safe before reopening.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take the necessary steps to protect the health of our community. We will provide updates if any changes to the reopening schedule occur.

🚫 A Friendly Reminder from the City of Springfield 🚫

Please, please do NOT use the RECYCLING dumpsters for personal dumping.

We've recently noticed household items and other materials being placed in the recycling containers that do not belong there. Improper dumping creates additional costs and can contaminate recyclable materials, making the recycling process more difficult and expensive.

Please use the appropriate waste and recycling services for your household items and help us keep Springfield clean and environmentally responsible.

🏡💼 Springfield Residents & Business Owners: We Need Your Input!

The City of Springfield is considering applying for a Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) Rehabilitation Grant that could provide funding for home improvements, commercial building renovations, and mixed-use rental unit rehabilitation.

To help determine community interest and project eligibility, please take a few minutes to complete the Interest Statement by scanning the appropriate QR code on the flyer below.

Potential funding opportunities include:
✅ Up to $25,000 for eligible owner-occupied homes
✅ Up to $40,000 for eligible commercial properties
✅ Up to $12,500 for mixed-use rental units in commercial buildings

Your participation is important and will help strengthen Springfield's grant application. Please complete the interest form as soon as possible!

**NOTICE OF SALE OF EXCESS PROPERTY**

The City of Springfield is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following excess furniture located at the Springfield Area Community Center.

* One (1) couch
* Two (2) side chairs

All items are being sold **as-is**, with no warranties.

Bids may be submitted for individual items or for the entire furniture set. The City will give preference to a bid for the entire set if we don't have buyers for all furniture, and reserves the right to accept a package bid that is less than the total of individual item bids, if deemed advantageous to the City.

Sealed bids must be received no later than **4:30 p.m. on July 1, 2026**, and should be clearly marked:
