It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for a Toddle Tuesday and FACEBOOK post!

We are proud to announce that Rountree has earned the Tier 1 PBIS Award of Excellence! Rountree was recognized alongside 216 other schools across the state of Missouri. Our OWL Ambassadors proudly accepted the award and even helped choose where to hang our new banner in the gym. We can’t wait to share it with you at SPSU!

This award reflects our strong Tier 1 PBIS systems and commitment to the OWL Code at Rountree. A special shout-out to our teacher-led PBIS team for all of their hard work last year!

It’s a great day to be an OWL! 💚

Rountree’s Book Fair is right around the corner! 📚

The Book Fair will be open September 14–18. Students can shop during their library instruction time on Tuesday or Thursday using an eWallet or cash. Checks will not be accepted.

We will also be open during SPS University for families to shop together!

We can’t wait to see our Rountree readers find their next great book! 🦉📖

What an amazing first week of school at Rountree!

Our week was filled with learning new routines, sharing smiles, and building meaningful connections with students and staff. We wrapped it all up with one of our favorite Rountree traditions—First Week Popsicles!

A huge thank-you to our fabulous PTA for providing the popsicles and helping us celebrate a fantastic start to the year. It’s going to be an amazing year at Rountree!

The first week of school is finally here and we can't wait to to kick-off the 2026-2027 school year at Rountree.

Don't forget tomorrow we kick off our week with Meet the Teacher!

This is a great time to:
Drop off Kleenex, Paper Towels and Headphones
Check out your students school supplies
See some of the COOL clubs and organizations we have (Dance Chance, Girl Scouts and PTA)
Take a fun back-to-school photo
Visit your child’s classroom and meet their teacher
Grab a donut and sign-up for PTA.

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 25th with doors opening at 7:00 a.m.. This Rountree Review will help with lots of those first week reminders to ensure you and your student are ready for a GREAT first week.

Kiwanis Shoe Bank is today! 10:00-4:30. Students must be present 👟

📚 BACK-TO-SCHOOL SHOPPING UPDATE 📚

Please read carefully as our schedule has changed this year.

In years past, The PTA Clothing Bank and the Kiwanis Shoe Bank have operated at the same time. As attendance has grown, so have wait times, and unfortunately we’ve seen an increase in heat-related illnesses and medical emergencies due to lines extending outside.

To help shorten wait times and keep everyone safer, the two programs will operate on separate days this year.

We know families will need to attend on two separate days, and we truly appreciate your understanding. This does not mean there won’t be wait times, but we’re hopeful this change will reduce long lines and help prevent heat-related emergencies.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our friends at University Heights Baptist Church , the Rountree PTA, and the Alley Cats for taking ACTION and helping us gear up for the new school year this past Saturday!

It was a day filled with service and teamwork—from preparing school supplies and sorting books to clearing brush, cutting out lamination, and giving our playgrounds a little “spruce” up before we kick off an amazing school year.

Rountree is READY for a wonderful year, and we are incredibly THANKFUL for the community partners who help make it all possible. It truly takes a VILLAGE, and we are so grateful for the Rountree Village!
