Historic Ridgedale Farm A historic estate located in Springfield, West Virginia that was built in 1835 by Col. George W. Washington (1809-1876) - a relative of Pres. George Washington.

With a history dating back to the 18th century, the property was used during the early stages of the Civil War as a base of operations for Confederate Brig. Gen. Turner Ashby. Under its current owners, Carol and Mike Shaw, the home is undergoing a massive restoration, supported by the U.S. Department of the Interior and the State of West Virginia.
