Under the SRF, Illinois EPA provides principal forgiveness for lead service line replacement projects directly related to activities that reduce or eliminate lead from potable water. Any one loan recipient may receive up to a maximum amount of $4 million in fiscal year 2022.
Illinois EPA announces over $1.7M in funding to the City of Canton to replace lead service lines in the community water supply. This will replace approximately 226 lead service lines, protecting residents from lead in drinking water. https://bit.ly/3hBQy4f
