The role you play is incredibly important, and we’re grateful for the time and care you invest in making voting accessible for everyone. We appreciate you, and all of our election workers. Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announces to all eligible voters wishing to vote absentee for the Primary Election held on Tuesday, August 4, no-excuse absentee voting will be available in person at the Greene County Elections Center, 1126 N. Boonville Ave. and The Library Center 4653 S. Campbell Ave. in Springfield, on Saturday, August 1 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

In-person no-excuse absentee voting is available Tuesday, July 21 through Friday, July 31 and Monday, August 3 at the following locations and during the hours listed:
• Greene County Elections Center, 1126 N. Boonville Ave. – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• The Library Center 4653 S. Campbell Ave. – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announces the following polling location changes for voters eligible to vote in the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, August 4. These are temporary changes due to the size and scope of the election.

Temporary Location Changes
• 27-BC: Eligible voters in this precinct, who previously voted at The Library Station, will vote at WILLIAMS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 2205 W KEARNEY, SPRINGFIELD MO, 65803
• 16-C: Eligible voters in this precinct, who previously voted at Bissett Elementary, will vote at YORK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 2100 W NICHOLS ST, SPRINGFIELD MO, 65802

The Office of the County Clerk has mailed notices to voters in these precincts to advise of these changes. Questions may be directed to the Office of the County Clerk by phone at 417-868-4055 or by email at [email protected].

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announces to Greene County registered voters that beginning Tuesday, July 21 all eligible voters will be able to vote absentee in person for the upcoming Primary Election on Tuesday, August 4 without having to give a reason for doing so.

In Greene County, the August ballot includes a wide variety of federal, state and local candidates, four statewide issues and a tax question for the City of Ash Grove.

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller reminds all voters wishing to vote absentee for the Primary Election on Tuesday, August 4, the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is this coming Wednesday, July 22 at 5:00 pm. To help ensure the request is received by the deadline, voters may request an absentee ballot by downloading and completing the application form at https://vote.greenecountymo.gov/ and returning it by email to [email protected]. Ballots must be completed and received in the Office of the County Clerk by 7:00 pm on Election Day to be counted.

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller reminds all eligible Greene County residents that they have until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8 to register to vote with eligibility for the Primary Election on Tuesday, August 4.

Residents may register to vote in one of the following ways:
• Visit the Office of the County Clerk in the Historic Courthouse at 940 N Boonville Ave, Room 113 in Springfield during business hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm;
• Visit any Missouri Department of Revenue vehicle license office or any branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library;
• Visit the website for the Missouri Secretary of State at https://www.sos.mo.gov/.
• Mail-in (postcard) registrations will also be accepted if postmarked by Wednesday, July 8.
• Voter registration information is also available online at https://greenecountymo.gov/county_clerk/.

A person applying to register with an election authority or a deputy registration official shall identify himself or herself by presenting a copy of a:
• Birth certificate
• Native American tribal document
• Other proof of United States citizenship
• Valid Missouri driver’s license
• Other form of personal identification at the time of registration.

Absentee voting will begin on 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟑 for those eligible voters who are unable to go to their regular polling place on Tuesday, August 4 for the upcoming Primary Election. In Greene County, the August ballot includes a wide variety of federal, state and local candidates, four statewide issues and a tax question for the City of Ash Grove.

𝐈𝐧-𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 will be available at the Greene County Elections Center, 1126 North Boonville Avenue in Springfield, Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm up to and including the day prior to the election. In addition, absentee voting will be available Saturday, August 1 between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.

𝐁𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞, 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬:
• Absence on Election Day from the jurisdiction of the election authority in which such voter is registered to vote;
• Incapacity or confinement due to illness or physical disability on Election Day, including a person who is primarily responsible for the physical care of a person who is incapacitated or confined due to illness or disability and resides at the same address;
• Religious belief or practice;
• Employment as an election authority or by an election authority at a location other than such voter’s polling place, a first responder, a health care worker, or a member of law enforcement;
• Incarceration, provided all qualifications for voting are retained;
• Certified participation in the address confidentiality program established under RSMo 589.660 to 589.681 because of safety concerns.

𝐓𝐨 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥, voters may either submit a handwritten request or complete the fillable form available at https://vote.greenecountymo.gov. These requests must be signed by the voters and received in the Office of the County Clerk no later than 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐦 on the 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 prior to the election, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟐. Mailed ballots must be voted, notarized, returned by mail, and received in the Office of the County Clerk before 𝟕:𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐦 on Election Day.
